  1. The PSU i picked are simply just an example of overkill option, angerthosenear's answer are satisfying enough for me, but thank you nando for your technical support, as i said, i plan to get an PSU with intention to use in new PC rig later so a little overboard is no issue. Just noticed that my PE4H is only PCIe gen 1, bummer. Should have gone with PE4L-EC060A instead. Guess that Setup 1.x and its x2 connection is unavoidable if i want more juice out of my card then

  3. i has an question regard power source, i read it in another forum that too much of voltage/amp can destroy the parts, is it only happen to laptop charger or you has to be careful when choosing PC PSU as well ? Say i want to use something like this Huntkey 450W, which can double as part when i build a new PC, would there be any incident ? I rather concerned about this matter since i had to change my card twice because bad power source.
  4. I am currently trying to build an eGPU setup,i has a question: would a laptop charger rate at 19V-3,16A enough to power up my PE4H+MSI HD7730 1GB GDDR5 set ? Because when i plugged it in, the graphic fan only run momentarily before stopped and my system can't find the eGPU, i plugged an USB flash driver into the USB jack on the PE4H and it still showed up, so i guess my card is the problem ?
  5. It is as you said, i encountered error 12 before my PE4H went to flame and i has successfully employed Magma FullDriver to overcame it, but problem is now my system cant even detect the eGPU to begin with and that is where i need your guys help.
  6. No, i don't have that one, that why i used Magma Solution, it did works once so i figure it is unnecessary to get Setup 1.x. Maybe when i go for that x2, but that's for later.
  7. Excuse me, could someone take a look at my problem ?
  8. Greeting to all gentlemen and ladies at TechInferno forums. I have been interested in eGPU for awhile and recently has finally made my purchase . I was able to get the system running once or twice. But the third time never came. Not only the card busted itself, the PE4H v2.4 board also bursted into flame in front of my horror face. After getting a new card and replace the chip on the board, i have faced with new issue. My setup is as follow: PE4Hv2.4 with EM2C part ( i also has the PM3N still boxed for an planned x2 connection) Laptop model Lenovo 3000 G430 running XP SP 3 Graphic card is MSI HD 7730 1GB DDR5 I powered the setup using either: - Laptop charger listed output at 19V-3,16A - A decade old PSU brand CODEGEN 250W with +12 V rated 9A; +3,3V rated 14A My current situation is: When i plug the power in, the GPU fan run a few seconds before stop, after consulted a vid on youtube, i decided that's a normal reaction I met error 12 before so i used Solution 7 of using the Magma Full Drive, its what get my system able to run before. When i plugged everything in in order: eGPU ON, Laptop ON, plug the cable in when the screen prompted to, actually i tried all the orders in FAQ, same difference. The GPU fan would not run and my Window can't find the card either. Would anyone able to help me point out where the problem is ? And i has another question: Would using both of my power sources at same time turn my setup into firework materials again ? Many thanks and great day for all of you.
