  1. Finally got to the required number of posts! Just flashed a modded 1.07 and it works great! In a few weeks I'll be dropping in a Killer Bigfoot WNIC, so here's hoping that goes smoothly as well. Thanks again svl7!
  2. I have a DAS at work myself, and I can't really describe how amazing it is to type on. It's got browns so my coworkers don't really notice the sound unless I'm with a particularly ignorant caller. At home I've been using the built-in chiclet KB on my laptop, but I do have a CM Quickfire Storm with browns as well that I used when I had gaming desktops before I moved to mobile. I've also owned Cherry Blacks, but didn't really like them as they were a bit stiff for my taste. I've considered trying Reds, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Might do that with my next mech, which will likely be the Filco mentioned above somewhere, don't remember the part number. I'd use a TKL at work, but need the numpad more often than not :-/
  3. I looked back at those drivers, and the 16.x Wifi drivers are there. I might have to try 8.1 again this week, as I definitely agree with the improved visuals. Seems to be a bit more fluid too. I'm still kinda leery of it, but that's what OneKeyBackup is for :-P
  4. I've almost got enough posts to start in on the mod for my y410p. I checked my bios version, and I'm running 1.07 at the moment. I'm wondering if updating to 1.10 before the mod is applied would really be worth it. Coming from a Desktop background, I'm accustomed to updating to the most recent BIOS, but I want to shy away from 2.x for now since there's no unlock mod available yet. Would there be any advantage to upgrading to 1.10 before modding, or should I not bother with it?
  5. Sweet. It's odd, the 2230 has great throughput according to speedtest, but the moment I start up something like BF3 or Hawken I have terrible lag. I've taken to just using wired 'net when I play online games :-/
  6. I've tried twice, and both times it's updated to the terrible 15.x wifi driver, which I've so far been unable to roll back, even when pulling the 14.8 drivers from the 8.0 install I've been updating from. Just keeps reverting back to 15. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but I've since stuck with 8. I'll have to check out those drivers you posted though.,,
  7. Good info, I'll definitely be looking into this soon. Probably a silly question, but is the BIOS Whitelist mod required to get this card to work? doesn't matter either way as I do plan to do the BIOS mod, just curious really.
