I have the laptop and their isnt a msata connector, i ended up just replacing the hd with a solid state drive. I looked into soldering a connector but the pin setup they incorporated isnt even msata, its a new standard connector designed for turbo cashe and the drives slated for release dont go over 40 gb so it would be pretty lame as an os drive and im assuming the price is going to be through the roof.

yea i agree with the last poster these speakers are loud check out the drivers, download them directly from realtek.

did you check your always on power usb in the bios? make sure its off

no problems with my msata. what kind of surface is your laptop sitting on?

just goto the synaptics web page and get the oem drivers, their alot better than the onces included, it made mine usable.

I had the same idea but its not even worth it, the new ssd style only goes upto 60 gb and i couldnt even find it for sale, all i found was youtube videos on how companies are developing it as a fast cache option. I would be nice if someone could figure out a way to get the unused sata port in the ultra bay that isnt used while an sli card is installed, maybe some kind of slim ribbon cable?

so i have an sli varient and just want the bios mod to replace the amazing wirless card that allows me to connect to my network at around 2mb a sec, do i need to mess with the vios or can i just flash the modded though cmd in windows?
