Yeh - I agree - will leave the partitions well alone as you never know - will be doing my own Acronis backups on the main ssd anyway

Just got a new y510p Would like to put a 5ghz card in the laptop ie Intel Ultimate N 6300 Would this get mod allow this? Just want to be sure as I dont want to end up bricking this thing

Does anybody know when these m.2 drives will become available at all.....Ive gone for a full size ssd for the time being

Hi all I know the trackpad is a bit iffy on the y510 But are there better drivers available that make it any better at all?? Or is it just a case of getting used to it Thanks

Just went for a samsung 840 pro myself - would have liked to have got a m.2 but none available in the uk afaik

Hi all Got a new y510p and just wondering is it possible to reconfigure the novo button at all for one key recovery? I have an issue with hidden recovery partitions tbh - as I dont like the bloatware that comes preinstalled so would rather wipe all partitions and start again or will the one key recovery still work if I set my own recovery partitions up???? It all a bit new thanks for any info

Slightly off topic - just looking to do this bios mod on my new y510 - dont want to brick! Anyway - ordered a new ssd for it - can anybody give me some advice as to what settings in the bios should be set to for a new install - bit clueless - its all new to me Thanks for any guidance
