As many have already said, i recommend the Samsung 840 as well. Direct replacement. It has been running great too.

What Steps have you fully taken? I would try installing updated drivers and firmware first. if you are still having issues you may have to replace it. I replaced mine to a[h=1]Intel WiFi Link 5100 Half Size Wirless MINI PCI-E Card. It was good enough for what i use my laptop for and only cost 10 bucks off Amazon. [/h]

As LFTFT said, i just decided to go with the Samsung Evo 840 256 GB as well. I put all my big files on my external drive. Still have 190 gigs of space left. So far everything runs good no problems yet.

Win 8.1 runs fine on my m14x R1. Just make sure you download all the drivers. Tried to get what i could from the manufactures site instead of dell. No issues till this day.

I just installed my SSD recently. I used a Samsung Evo 840. I was going to use the pro one, but no major difference except the warranty. First time using an ssd and i was amazed at how fast everything runs now

I have repasted the GPU and CPU and they both helped. Also removed the Ram cage and i saw about a 15 degree © difference.
