  1. Is the bios whitelisted ? If it's not whitelisted you could probably put whatever card you wanted in there. Assuming it's mpci. edited: From my understanding the T61 bios is whitelisted. And I doubt any of the cards that are on the white list. Would preform significantly better than eachother. Your whitelist contains: ThinkPad 11b/g Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter II ThinkPad 11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Express Adapter Intel PRO Wireless 3945ABG Mini-PCI Express Adapter Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN ThinkPad 11a/b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN (11n disabled) These come from the manual Your best cards are the ones that have 802.11n support. As far as best card overall. I perfer intel for wireless cards. However this is entirely personal preference. Sent from my ONEPLUS A3000 using Tapatalk
  2. Thats very interesting....tell me how repasting goes
  3. I do suppose they are more expensive but then the have a lifetime warranty but yea i suppose your correct If ovm means what i think it is which is Oracle virtual machine i think youll be able to run multiple instances with more ram so i suppose itll help
  4. The 780 is a beautiful card but if u have 1000$ go with the TITAN or the GTX 690
  5. Did you try repasting....or dusting the fans? Is it overclocked at all?
  6. That looks pretty good i plan to go to 32 GBs too but....i perfer Corsair Vengeance im a corsair fan...as for a performance increase...unless your running servers or just running alot of apps entirely (a lot as is above like 400) you really wont notice a differance unless your current ram cant keep up :/ like right now i have 8GBs and i never go passed 50% the only reason i want 32GBs is for the love of having it XD but yea unless ur Ram is like 4GBs right now...i dont think youll see a differance other then a %
  7. I prefer arctic silver 5 over the diamond it was a lot easier to apply But diamond is alright i mean i got it for free with my graphics card upgrade kits XD haven't had any problems But a pea or an X in my opinion is a fine way to do it Tell me how it goes
  8. No diamond will not scratch the CPU/GPU I used arctic silver 5 on my Core 2 Quad Q6700 in my Dell Optiplex 360 worked wonderfully runs idle at 85F (~29C) As for the diamond i used it on both of my 780Ms in my Alienware M18xR1 there running idle at ~120F ( 49C) Both i think are great but it also depends how well you put it on
  9. Hello Im Brenden i have an mx18r1 looking forward to that unlocked bios, Nice meeting all of you
