k i got it maybe a good idea noting it in that code as i just went to the this thread threw the link. i know i read that last night but i wasn't sure what "-r" option was.

well im trying to flash the gtx 650 ultra bay and its giving me an error. i was able to save the old bios but not flash it. heres the command line im running nvflash -i1 -6 vbios.rom my file is names vbios.rom and from the id its 1 so it looks good to me but here's the pic that it gives me

id go in this order" ssd, gfx card, processor, then ram. for the ssd somewhere in the 128-256gb range would be good gfx card im not sure on prices but i would think that the gtx 670-675 and the gtx 770 would be cheaper then the 780 and still have good performance on the lower res screen. for the processor i was going to say an i5 would be fine but if the i7 is similarly priced then go for it. for ram i don't see a need for going with any higher then 8gb and its not to expensive to get compared to the rest of the items.

i got the one in the link and its awesome. nearly matches my desktop in performance.

id say jsut get a gtx 780 and call it good.

just got the lenovo y500 and i think its a killer deal considering the performance is equal to 12-1300$ books. not to mention i got it for $800. i keep the 1tb drive and added a refurbished 256gb msata drive for another $140 and its snappier then ever.
