The laptop just sits on the desk now, I don't think I will be putting it in a new case. Thanks for the heads up though.

I had an incident with my G73JW landing on a tile floor from around waist height. This destroyed both the screen and the case. Not wanting to waste the laptop I purchased a bench case and this is what I ended up with: This is the most stable it has been, no thermal shutdowns or blue screens.
