Try to disable indexing and windows defender. Also you can set "clear page file during shutdown" in one of third party applications for windows optimization. I had the same problem here and it helped.

Possible to do the same for win8 64bit? Should not be a problem I think.

Do you have screen flickering on ultra settings, hd and vsync on. I play on Lenovo y500 2x GT 650m SLI. The only way to avoid it is to change resolution to 1600x900. Any suggestion?

I had the same problem on Lenovo Y500 and 2x GT650m SLI, however I changed render settings in NVIDIA control panel to AFR2 and turn off triple buffering. Now I have like 80 fps ultra settings full hd, vsync off.

I must say that performance of Cretive recon 3d with external audigy sound card is great. I would recommend it to everyone, it does not matter if you are PS/Xbox or PC gamer. And mic is also very good, sound is crisp and clear.

It will not be possible, some people look into this but I doubt there is any chance to enable second SLI GPU. No way. However if you overclock your gt650m most likely you can play not very demanding games on medium/low settings.

Need to try play with y500 a bit. I'm still on stock settings just updated to bios v2.02. As far as I can see it works fine.
