Did this mod yesterday my PCH is running at 64c (147f)... Perhaps I did it wrong? This is while running 2 screens for quite a few hours. No gaming.

This is due to you removing the battery probably Which isn't a problem.

I actually purchased the same copper shims and was wondering if you put paste on both sides?

Just wondering I opened up my m14x today and im stilling waiting for my shim to arrive. However I was wondering was the thermal paste appiled both underneath and ontop of the shim then with the lid on top? Mine had a thermal pad on it I guess I should just remove it correct?
