To find the bios version you can either boot into the bios or... go to control panel > system and security > administrative tools > system information. It should be listed on the first tab/list that shows up.

I have micro-stuttering problems with my sli setup but it depends what game I'm using. A big factor is framerate. In BF4 if I go below 40fps it starts to stutter so I try to turn down settings and keep my frames up. Once I'm at higher frames I get some tearing but the stuttering isn't so bad.

I can't fix this problem no matter what I try. Does a fresh restore of windows have any affect on the bios that might help?

I'm having the exact same issue with my Y400 after running the battery gauge reset. Really regretting that decision now. The computer will charge with my 170w charger but not the 120w charger that came with the computer unless I perform the steps listed by the OP.

I got two finger tap to click working on my synaptics pad by downloading drivers straight from their site. Maybe the same would work for an Elan touchpad

I'm sorry if this has been posted but I'm having charging issues from the battery gauge reset. Will reflashing the stock bios possibly fix this issue?
