Dont the 670mx in SLI draw too much power for a 330watt brick?

I was playing this on a single 6970m and was barely playable, as of many of these ports you either should have killer hw or no gameplay at all. With ports I feel there is hardly any in between...

Yes, you can lower the GPU voltage, this will lower the power consumption therefor the heat generated. You will loose performance though. I used a 0.95 volts as compared to stock 1.00 volts on my 6970m, this lowered the temps considerably, I did increase the clocks and memory via a bios mod tool. Be carefull and read up the pro's and con's before trying this. What GPU do you have?

I dont know about those temps differences but my perception is that m18x series designed to have superior cooling effectiveness. The two laptops look very different, dont you have any preference for design/looks?
