J95, Thank you so much for keeping these .inf files updated with every mayor nvidia driver update. Really important for the community edit: Any specific reason you're recommending 368.25 drivers? At least for a A17 R1 + 980M 8gb?

Hi all! I don't know what I'm doing wrong.. I re flash to Prema 980m v2 vBios, I passed DDU 2 times, restart to Disable Driver Enforcement.. and still can not install the nvidia 361.75 with the proper win7/8.1 PEG Dedicated modified files. BUT I can do the same process and install: 359.00, 362.00 and 364.51 drivers (are all the ones I've tried) I don't want to use 359.00 as i see a drop in performance compared with newer drivers and I can't use 362.00 or above as I get the black screen bug, when going into desktop, as I'm using the 120Hz panel. Just seems like I can not uninstall Driver Enforcement on the 361.75 drivers? This is my 980M 8GB Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_05AE1028&REV_A1 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&SUBSYS_05AE1028 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&CC_030000 PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_13D7&CC_0300 Any ideas in what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks so much for the .inf files J95! One thing that caught me thinking is that you post the link for the "desktop" version of the 361.75 drivers. Was that your intention or should we use the normal notebook version of the 361.75 drivers?

I am in the same boat here. Got my A17 R1 with 880M in late 2014 and I have the same vBIOS. But: It's the svl7 Nvidia GTX 880m - 'OC edition' - rev00.zip updated for this machines or the "stock" vBIOS named before it is "newer"? (anyway I'm suffering throttling from time to time with this stock vbios) Could someone "save" this stock vbios? At this point I don't know if to upgrade or not...if I'm going to get in more trouble..

Hi everybody! Back in last December I got an Alienware 17 R1 with 880m and the 120Hz panel from dell. I just discovered that some games and maps happens to slow down big time! Like from 80 to 110 fps in Payday2 to only 25 or 35 in some heavy maps. Recently a friend told me that was because of throttling? and a custom vbios will fix that My question is : 1-It is this vbios, by svl7, the only one besides stock: " Nvidia GTX 880m - 'OC edition' - rev00.zip (130.6 KB, 624 views)" And it is this "rev00" the "only" revision he made of it? 2-His vbios dates from July 2014 and my notebook was purchased directly to dell in December 2014. Do you think that dell might have change/improved the vbios by that time?(I've attached a pic from my video card) 3-And finally it is safe? and do you recommend me to change the vbios being the system still on guarantee by dell? I just wanted to confirm that I've also overcooked successfully with 72Hz 75Hz and 96Hz profiles in the AUO B173HW01 v5 matt panel without a problem. Now movies and games definitely seems smoother!
