  1. Hey sorry that it took me two months to finally reply to this. I have an ivy bridge processor (i7-3840QM), and my current PSU outputs 9.5 A at 19V (180W). I have noticed that if i'm benching my CPU the temps are around the high 70's and if I start to bench my 680M at the same time the temps of the CPU drop which doesn't make much sense to me. Also, I haven noticed throttling problems with my GPU, even though its overvolted to 1 volt, and no overclocking. Could this be due to the PSU. Also, if I could benefit from a bigger PSU, which one would you suggest, and whats the best place to look for one. Thanks again, and sorry it took so long to answer.
  2. I bought my first MSI laptop this January from Xotic PC, it is a GT-70 276US and I can say that overall I have been very pleased with it. As for the customer service I did have to RMA my Msata controller along with the two Mstata's, now I had to do this a week after I had purchased it and I was super pissed because I basically just spent over $3000 on a brand new laptop and they sent me a broken one. Anyways I got in contact with the MSI customer service through Xotic PC, which I don't really know if that makes a difference, but anyways the guy was super knowledgeable and we were able to diagnose the problem and I installed windows on the 750 GB harddrive and it worked, so instead of sending my whole laptop in I was just able to send in the MSata controller with the drives. The only thing that pissed me off was that I had to pay to the ship the item to the RMA site, which just irked me. But anyways after like 3 weeks, which seemed to take forever, they sent me the new drives and controller, and even upgraded the drives to a better brand, which i think they have switched all their MSata's to now. Anyways overall I have been very pleased with my MSI laptop!!!
  3. Hey just curious, I have a 680M in my GT70 and I was wondering where people usually start their overclocking, and by what increments they increase their clocking, testing along the way of course. Also I was planning on going to 1 volt, to add a little stability. I don't want to kill my card and i don't want to push it to the max, just looking for some better performance that's noticeable. Anybody have any suggestions?
  4. This might be a stupid question but how do you determine if you have a Haswell MSI generation. I have an MSI GT70-ONE 276US, does mine have this, and if not could I possible benefit from a more powerful power brick.
  5. Hey, I'm a newbie here but i'm pretty sure that you can't download any files yet because you haven't posted 5 times yet. Its in the forum rules, but anybody else please correct me if I am wrong on this.
  6. I use a sleeve by slappa for my MSI GT 70 and put that in my kelty redwing backpack. I carry it every day to university along with my books. My bag weighs about 30 pounds, but i really don't care cause as an engineering student i love the performance i get out of the laptop and plus the huge screen. Anyways, I love the case, it provides some padding, and keeps my baby safe!! I would recommend it to anybody, especially if your carrying your laptop in your backpack. Plus since its not too bulky you have plenty of room for your books. Anyways good luck with your search!!!
  7. Hey quick question, as I am a newbie here and just getting into overclocking, so I apologize if I sound retarded. My computer is an MSI GT 70-ONE 276, my processor is 3840QM with 32 GB of ram and I have a GTX 680M, bios version: 80.04.33.00.24, core clock is 771 MHz and Memory is 1800 MHz. I've never done any overclocking before and would like to get a little more out of my GPU. So which Vbios have people had the best experiences with and any good/stable clocks that people have used on this computer? I'm not looking to bench my computer, just looking to get a little more out of it, without destroying it. On a random note, I don't know if people have had this experience before, but I do have a dual monitor setup, two 27 inch samsung monitors, one in the hdmi and one in the vga. I get this random screen flicker, where the screen kind of blinks really fast, just for a second, enough to make you look at it. it really does it randomly and on both screens, sometimes just one and sometimes just the other...I've tried new cables, new drivers, uninstalled and wiped with driversweeper and all that, multiple times to no avail. I was wondering if doing bios flash and re-install would help? Anyways I thought I'd ask if anyone has experienced this. Sorry for the long drawn out post but i am trying to get five posts in so i can download stuff. And again sorry for sounding like a newb but I am lol. Thanks in advance for any advice!
