Hey guys, I've been running on my MSI GT60 for about 9 months now and I'm still loving this NB! I'm always looking for resources to upgrade my system with, and I've been needing to find a community with the know-how to help me trouble shoot any issues I might run into in the future. So far though this computer has been amazing with very little hickups. -
Well I wonder if there is a known science that would support this theory (lower altitudes run cooler temps). Also, if anyone has tested say in Cali at sea level, and at some other time tested at an altitude such as mine and noticed a difference.

So I'm just curious if anyone has been able to test this. Do systems at high altitude run hotter than when at lower altitudes? I'm in Denver (5200 ft) and I notice my temps at stock have always been considerable higher than others. One week I went to Salt Lake (4500) and I swear my temps dropped a consistent 2 degrees despite the room temp being the same. Anyone know how much of a difference altitude or humidity levels has on systems?

Anyone know if you can place the upgraded heatsink for the 780m over a 680m for cooler temps?

Macbook Pro vs Windows 8 Laptop

I ended up trading my mac in for a PC, MSI GT60, and don't regret it one bit. I'm running Windows 7, no need to run 8, and it's a beast when video/photo editing, plus it can game! Way more bang for the buck. Its heavy though -

I used to own a mac with a partitioned drive for PC gaming. It was amazing to have all my editing tools at hand and the Apple OS, but when it came to gaming, the high end mac still just wouldn't satisfy. Also take into consideration your temps. Apples are not built for gaming and are prone to high temps if your gaming, which put your system at risk.
