I thought about this aswell, but didn´t know if there is a compatible bios. I just know that you have to very be careful operating on the bios. Are you closer to a solution, yet already?

and I don´t know if this has been mentioned somewhere already, but i believe the speed of the fan doesn´t rises due to higher temperature, but to higher usage of CPU,GPU ?!

hi guys if got the same problem. And found an idea in another thread: http://forum.techinferno.com/lenovo-ibm/3849-y580-fan-control.html Sadly i really have no idea how to monitor which register the fan is. Is this even possible to be found out ?
