  1. That was the overall impression I got from the trailer. Didn't look enough to go and see it at the cinema. Wait for it to appear on Netflix I reckon.
  2. I got Borderlands 2 free with my GTX 670 FTW but must say, after installing and playing for a good couple of hours, I just couldn't get in to it. Despite rave reviews from sites and a recommendation for me I just can't see what all the fuss is about. I'm not a huge fan of FPS so maybe that's it but it just felt a little too repetitive. Might give it another chance again soon though.
  3. How about some of these: - Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Brilliantly polished off title, well balanced story, action, stealth, character developement. Some say the boss titles were a bit too easy, perhaps, I didn't use any form of guide for my first playthrough and I lost count how many times I died in the first boss fight. Honestly a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. The Missing Link DLC was also a lot of fun, especially when you set your own goals after completing it (took me around 8 hours so there is value there). Try a speed run with no kills or being seen. Amnesia: The Dark Descent (indie sort of) - Do you like being scared? Play this in a darkened room after hours. This is a lesser known title for most and probably showing it's age a little bit but it just goes to show, graphics aren't everything. I properly jumped out of my skin in places, frozen to the spot and scared to move my character onward. Highly recommended, and if you really enjoy this I suggest going back and playing their earlier title Penumbra as well. There are 2 add-ons to Penumbra too, 1st is a good compliment, 2nd is just puzzles no story. Dishonoured: I loved this game. Got it for Xmas from partner after a friend recommended it to me. If you like being stealthy and dropping on enemies from a great height or taking them down from the shadows, this is for you. First-person, bloody action set in London around the time of the plague. The special/spiritual abilities add another dynamic to the game and when you get really adept at using them it's a blast zipping around the levels dispatching everyone you come across. If you're ready for a real challenge, get the DLC as well, and I mean, only if you want a real challenge. It took me a further 2-3 weeks to get clear all challenges with 3 stars on both normal and expert. I lost some of my sanity at the same time as well. The Steam achievements are definitely a real test. Great gaming experience as a whole though. Fallout 3/Fallout New Vegas: Personally I loved both, hard to pick, which I loved more but probably 3 as I played it first and it was my introduction to the series and how massive a single-player/offline gaming world can be. If you like a mix of first-person action with RPG elements, character developement/customisation and a huge gaming world with well designed areas then go for this. I spent around 200 hours seeing everything across number 3 and the expansions but loved every minute of it. Fallout New Vegas continues where Fallout 3 leaves off and is essentially more of the same with a bigger map, more to see and do, more endings/quests and the like. The expansions and multiple endings leave you with lots to do. Depends what you're into really. If you liked 3, I'd say get NV, but definitely get 3 first.
  4. Challenge Accepted! hehe Hi all, I'm Krayge from London, UK. Not as big of a fan of notepads as the majority on these forums appear to be, personally more of a desktop man for both work and play, but there seems to be a wealth of information across the boards that I'm more than willing to absorb. Hopefully I'll have something to offer you in return too (besides hot chick photos). Thanks for having me.
  5. Bit of a black sheep amongst the rocker/metal majority here but here's what I'm listening to right now to kick start my Sunday morning.
  6. Watched Surrogates last night for the first time, Bruce Willis, 2009, and I must say I really liked it. If you like the Sci-Fi, futuristic, potential ideas that might actually be used in the future one-day theme I'd highly recommend it. On a more recent note, I would highly recommend Looper with Bruce Willis as well. Time travel has been done a fair few times in movies but this didn't feel like the same old theme we're used to seeing, it felt new and refreshing. One of my favourite movies of 2013 by far.
  7. Ah, that's good to know. I recently upgraded to an Asus PB278Q and was considering investing in a monitor calibrator. Cheers for that.
