That is a good side by side comparison. As the 780m and the 880m are basicly the same cards (880m with some higher clocks), you should bwe able to get at least the same performance out of a 780m, if you do the OC right!

I have the new AW 18 (streetname R3) with SLI 780m (4Gb) and I have no issues so far. Works like a charm, but I do not use 3D. As said before 880m Kepler ist only +10% due to higer clocks. Reading all the news about Maxwell I am still not sure if they will have more than +10% over the 880m Kelper and they will come first with only 4Gb... I would wait till march 2015 (ceBit), till than my 780m SLI will just do fine!

I tried the Hynix mStat that came with my AW 18, but after some time (2Weeks) I changed it to a Crucial M550 mStat and never looked back I also own a Samsung 840Pro, I would say almost same lvl of performance!

Even for my AW18 I use only a 20€ Notebook-Cooler from "Tschibo". It has 2 fan´s with USB and works just fine. Best part is that you can adjust the hight and degree of th eactual stand.

Jepp, with Win8.1 and the use of -Clasic Start Menu- the desktop is clean! ;-)
