[G75VW] - modified BIOS & VBIOS for higher overclocking

I currently have ubuntu installed on my G75VW, using bios v223. Does anyone have experience running Linux on this modded bios? Does this bios expose the ability to turn off Intel SpeedStep (a Linux headache)? Is there any way to flash the mod from Linux? Are there any Dos/win startup disks that could be used to flash?
