  1. Ok thanks for the answer, i think i can tweak my vbios with maxwell II bios tweaker. But i don't know how to save the vbios of my laptop... It don't work with gpu-z and the save button , and don't work to whith nvflash using nvflash --save filename.rom .... Can you tell me how to save vbios of GTX 970m 3GB ? Thanks
  2. Hi, I have a P34W V3 from Gigabyte and it throttle a bit. Temps are ok but it seems to have a TDP rule that block the max frequency. It throttle by approx -70mhz and i can't go after +135mhz. I don't know why but my computer crash when i press the specific button to save my vbios on a file... Do you know if it's possible to tweak it to let me choose the right TDP and frequency whith PrecisionX , inspector ? Thanks for your work
  3. Hello, Do you know if your vbios can be use in P34W V3 ? a 3gb vram GTX 970m like your ? Thank you
  4. Hi, I have a P34W V3 from Gigabyte and the gpu throttle because of a limit of the TDP. Temps are good , less than 80°C ... the voltage decrease when full load in benchmark or some games. Do you know if it's possible to have the same benefit of the bios in the first page of this topic for my laptop ? Thanks
  5. Ok thanks Nando for the answer. In fact , i change my sony SVZ + EGPU by a MSI GS60 Ghost pro , with I7-4700HQ and GTX 870m , which give me a good score of more than 5200 pts in graphic 3dm11 : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 870M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-4700HQ,Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. MS-16H2 So the MSI WS60 , which is the same as the GS60 (GTX 860/870m become K2100) , and i want to try something other.... But i think i would change when broadwell will start to come in notebook. Do you know what can brodwell give us for egpu ? TB3 ? AMD graphic card can send back the video signal to the internal screen ? because the lost in bandwith between nvidia and AMD is quite big in some game ...
  6. Hi, After SVZ+GTX780ti , i want to try the MBP + GTX 780ti with Thunderbolt 2. But i don't know if it's more interresting to take MBP 15" with GTX 750m or without it ? With GTX 750m = no optimus but the GTX 750m can be enought when i'm not at home Without GTX 750m = with optimus , but the solution ATIKO + GTX 780ti + ATX is quite difficult to transport... Is it completely impossible to use optimus with GTX 750m ? Windows on MBP is like the same as Windows on PC ? Is the performance better than my old SVZ + GTX 780ti ( mpcie 1.2 opt but perform quite good , some game was absolutely not playable like the last COD , ROme total War ect ... do you have some information about it ?) Will i have to take MBP 15" with 2.2 ghz , 2.5 ghz or 2.8 ghz ? Can it be O/C with XTU ? Thanks
  7. Here is my new high score in 3dMark firestrike extrem : NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3632QM,Sony Corporation VAIO 5859 points on gpu score , it's with a GTX 780ti , with nvidia cooler @ 1310 mhz/7900mhz and 1.2125v In some new games , like COD ghost , the bandwith is bottlenecked the egpu , when i change settings in cod ghost fore example , fps don't inscrease.. i have to reduce the resolution to have a more acceptable game.
  8. Has anyone tested Call of Duty Ghost with Egpu system ? It seems that i am very limited by the bandwidth ...
  9. Hello, I am using the GTX 780 clasiffied with a good O/C up to 1250/1300 mhz , the solution with my laptop (the same as mickjoa) is realy good , great performances , lots of games can be played with all settings max , in full HD. It's a really good solution but i think that the mpcie 2.0 is near to the limit to render correctly lastest games with all setttings set to max with a GK110. I can play BF4 at max settings , COD ghost with most of the settingsset to max , bioshock infinite at max settings to , metro last light too ... lots of games are really playable with the GTX 780 at max settings and more than 40 FPS... As anyone try to use egpu with windows 8.1 ?
  10. At the beginning of the video , the gtx 780 was at 1110 mhz , and , after the first scene , i inscrease the gpu clock at 1254 mhz , witch is approx 10/12% better. The Solo is fully playable at theses FPS , but for more experiences , i disable HBSO with is really , really gpu consuming... fps without HBSO are approx 80/90 fps..
  11. i've played at the beta of BF4 , the game , at max settings , is playable , more than 60 fps , on an external screen. On the internal screen , i've tested a little and the game is limited to 50 fps approx .. but can be playeble...

  18. Hello, I have an issue with my EGPU.Here is my config : Sony vaio SVZ PE4L v2.1b GTX 780 diy setup I have the same configuration than mickjoa for the setup of nando , and i succesfully set up the drivers 320.18. The card is correctly installed , i can have a dual screen with hdmi cable connected , and can O/C the card with msi afterburner. But when i lauch a bench , BSOD ... and the pc restart. With 3Dmark11 , it crashes just before the first screen of the first bench... Do you think it's can be the psu ? I've modded the psu but i'm not sure of the connection :/ What do you think ? Thanks

  20. It could be interessting to compare the perofrmance between the two cable... If Bplus says that it's a gen 2 solution , it's that it could be more powerfull than the old flat cable with a vers 1.5 of PE4L or vers 2.4 of PE4H ... Maybe by using special hmdi connectors ...
  21. My vaio SVZ have two mpcie port , one with a mpcie host , the other with a usb host. I'm using the first for the egpu , but the second should be used for a wifi card , with usb host. But i'm losing BT with the egpu , so i'm asking if it's possible to put a wifi+ bluetooth card with a pcie host and use the MM2U. Do you know if it's possible ? If the MM2U can support a half mpcie card with wifi and buletooth and with an mpcie host (like centrino 6235) and can support the usb host of the motherboard ? I'm asking the uestion with this picture : If it's not possible , do you know if i can use this card : KZ-B34-USB (USB to MiniCard Extender) , and add this one : Clé USB Bluetooth 3.0 + wifi | LINDY France ? Thanks a lot
  22. This is a score of a GTX 780 in EGPU with PE4L v 2.1b and no oc... NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3720QM Processor,LENOVO 3051RY8 score: P9516 3DMarks It's no too bad at all But i've already buy the PE4L-PM060A v2.1 b , so gen 2 , and want to do this work on this PE4L. So i suppose that i can have a gen 2 bandwidth , no ? Thanks you
  23. thanks for the answers. My goal is to put the micro hdmi receptacle type D on the kensington port , that is enough big for this. I Want this type of setup : mpcie port ==> PM060A ==> cut the cable at approx 10 cm of the PM060A ==> sorldering on a micro hdmi receptacle type D ==> fix the micro hdmi receptacle on the kensington port ==> plug the micro hdmi male type D on the receptacle type D ==> use a normal cable (micro hdmi male to hdmi male) of 1 m on the other side : PE4L ==> cut the "hdmi" cable" ==> soldering a hdmi receptacle type A ==> use a normal cable (micro hdmi male to hdmi male) of 1 m In fact , i just want to make the PE4L-PM060A plug and play. I bought the PE4L-PM060A , a flex atx psu , and GTX 780 sc acx to use in my vaio svz.
