What would you say is the highest safe voltage on the core for the 980m? I'm currently running 1.1v and only hitting the upper 60's on temps. Im curious how much more the voltage regs can take before it becomes not worth it

You are probably becoming CPU limited. Whats your proc? -
Maybe you are getting cpu limited and its causing the usage on the card to drop. I get this in BF3 at times, but it doesnt happen often.

Just tested my 675mx. I got it to 1006Mhz on the Core and 2250Mhz on the memory. I havent pushed it further. Im going to game a little, then get back to benching

At stock sure... but mobility chips tend to have tons of OC room too.

What do you use as cooler on your notebook?

I think this is the route Ill be taking. I just cant see spending $40-60 on a fan -
As of right now I would have to say nVidia. I use to be a big fan of ATi cards, but after numerous driver and game issues I made the switch and never looked back. I'm not saying Ati cards arent any good now, I just prefer the drivers and quality of nVidia cards.

I hate rebranded cards. That's what caused the whole naming fiasco with the gtx 600m & mx cards -
i7-3630QM what can I/should I upgrade to?

planet side is probably one of the most cpu bound games out right now. I doubt any mobile proc will be able to run it well without overclocking. -
Hi, I just recently bought my first laptop in forever. It has a MSI gtx 675MX 4GB card in it. I registered to try and download the vbios so I could do some overclocking, but every time I try to download it, it says I have insufficient privileges. Any help please . I oc'ed using afterburning and saw a 10fps increase just from raising the clock by 135. I would really like to OC further.
