  1. Sure, tell me if I miss something. Notebook model: Acer V3-571 series CPU: Intel Core i5 3210M iGPU: Intel 4000 only, no nVidia iGPU inside. eGPU kit: PE4H V2.4 mPCIe + PCIEMM-060A and B VGA: Club3D Radeon R9 270X Power supply: Scythe 500W Setting up With the PCIEMM-060A cable, I was unable to run @2.0, as soon the VGA needs to process something more heavy a BSOD pops out. But there was no major problems running @1.0 except for performance loss or some unstable FPS on some games. The setup 1.x process was: Got the VGA ID; Force linkspeed to Gen 1 on eGPU(VGA) port; Run PCI Compactation and choose the first 36-bit option avaliable. And chose to apply only on eGPU; - 32-bit options somethimes get stuck on a black screen before the chainload starts. startup.bat call speedup lbacache call iport gen1 2 call vidwait 60 [VGA ID] call pci :end call chainload mbr Using the PCIEMM-060B cable I only changed to force Gen 2 on the eGPU port, no changes on other options. 2. Hmm. After a lot of issues now I have a good thing! Just for experiments and now I have the B version cable I tried to run 1.2, without much faith, since with the old cable I got BSOD. But for my surprise, it worked! I usually run 3Dmark 03 and 11, and both worked and increased their scores. Here a screenshot, had to leave Diablo 3 on background so the 1.2 goes on. (Sorry about the size) And the AMD Radeon R9 270X video card benchmark result - Intel Core i5-3210M Processor,Acer VA50_HC_CR Got 500 points over the 1.1 Cheers.
  3. Well again... It's working, it was just an driver issue, the another driver didn't installed. Simply reinstalled the working driver and there it is. Stayed nights thiking and even bought a new cable (the B version). At least I got rid of that awful cable.
  4. Oh well, it WAS working perfectly until my first shutdown/reboot. At same time, I removed the drivers to try another version, rebooted, did the automated setup and now I'm receiving error 10, it doesn't matter if I boot with or without the setup now. Before at least the vga was recognized despite BSOD and this is happening with my old vga too (error 10). The setup itself seems to recognize everything and do all the process without errors or lockups. Didn't made any hardware change or software (despite the driver).
  5. Woot, working perfectly. Tried the only 36bit option avaliable for PCI compaction, choose only to compact egpu. And there it is. A 3DM11 link to proof AMD Radeon R9 270X video card benchmark result - Intel Core i5-3210M Processor,Acer VA50_HC_CR My setup: Acer V3-571 (Intel HD only) + PE4H mpcie + Radeon 270X Thanks Tech Inferno Fan
  6. Hello I'm having some issues with chainloading and a Radeon 270X. Everything was fine when I was using a Geforce 460GTX. So on setup 1.x, I had to set the link to Gen 1 and change the egpu ID from 460GTX to 270X. No problems here, it detects and the pci compilation goes through. But on first times it seems the chainload freezes up on a black screen with a white dot and after some tries now I got "Error Reading From Drive C: DOS area sector not found". I can load windows without any problem except of course the egpu not working. Tried to mount the setup again, no success. PE4H here. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  7. Hello I got some problems with my setup. I didn't managed to run it, not a single time. Acer V3-571 i5 3210M, 8GB RAM, Chipset HM55, Intel HD4000, no dGPU inside. PE4H+PM3N, GeForce 460GTX and a 500W PSU from Scythe I have tried a lot of drivers, all of then "Verde" and with nvam moddified, but with "same" results 258.96 - freeze at "welcome" screen 270.61 - Some flicks and BSOD (nvlddmkm.sys) just after "welcome" screen, like the driver stops responding. 275.33 - Same as above 295.73 - Error 43 320.18 - Error 43 Desktop drivers version 300.00 - Error 43 320.18 - Error 43 Then I have tried to use the Setup 1.x but without success. Tried a lot of setups but sometimes I think it's not even making difference. The only thing that made something was setting the pci from 1.1x to 1x, but that made my notebook shut down. My card and chipset are detected by setup. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. Edit: Oh... I made it, it was something I was missing. Setup the pci to work as G1 than another option and there... it worked. It seems a little unstable tho, at least for benchmarks, the driver crashes but recover. For games only tried Diablo 3 and run awesome. Now its time for tweaking. Cheers.
