  1. Just found out from another forum that Y500 SLI doesn't work properly with Valve games. Only workaround is to go to your Steam Library, right click on the Source Game and choose "Properties". Go to "Set Launch Options". In that box, put the following: -windowed -noborder +fps_max 60 Finally solved after doing above!
  2. Hi jester_socom, I moded both my Bios & vBios using your standard mod (no voltage & no mem) and they are working great on 310.90. However when I installed latest nVidia driver 320.18 I get very jerky/choppy videos running Counterstrike, Left 4 Dead 2, 3Dmark, etc. in SLI mode. If I disable SLI it's ok. Any advice? --------------------------------------- The 310.90 only worked for a while. I logout of steam and signed on to another account and the choppy/jerky video (SLI) returned. Rebooting doesn't help and turning off SLI solved the problem! The "jerkiness" also happen on the intro video (which is running at 24 fps by default). Doesn't happen when viewing videos, or running Heaven Benchmark 4.0) thou. It seems that the 2 GPU are somehow not in sync... Can anyone advice on this? I tried searching on the web but no help. I bought the Y500 solely for the SLI and it's frustrating to run on single 650m only. Thx.
  3. Thanks vladichimescu! Tried Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and SLI working! Gonna try the bios mod now.
  4. I changed from Adaptive to Max Performance but the 2nd GPU load still shows 0%. Tried the latest 320.19 driver still same result. In GPU-Z it says SLI enabled but I noticed the 2nd GPU BIOS is "80.07.27.00.33 (P1304fd10)" instead of just "80.07.27.00.33". Also the Default Clock MEM is 1250MHz instead of 1000MHz. As I didn't apply any mods, is my 2nd GPU screwed up? Should I tried the BIOS mod before sending it back?
  5. Help, I can't get SLI to work. It's detected and selected but when I run Furmark only 1 GPU is working (the 2nd GPU just idle). The framerate result is same with/without SLI. I am still on stock BIOS (v2.02) and using 310.90 driver running on Win 7.
  6. I got extra screws from a laptop repair shop! My Y500 didn't come with a mSata and I needed a very small screw to lock down my mSata upgrade. The guy at the laptop repair shop was nice to give me a buch of screws in various sizes without charge!
  7. Hi jester_socom, what is the difference between your mod & svl7? I am looking to oc my 650m SLI only and don't really need the wlan whitelist removal. Thanks in advance.
  8. Hi all fantastic thread! I just bought my Y500 (650M SLI) and am interested to oc my graphic cards. After applying the BIOS mod do I still need to OC it? Is there a way that the clock speed can be permanently moded on the BIOS? Thanks in advance.
