I just booted up mu y500 this morning and found an update to go from 314.22 to the new drivers which are 320.18. Has anyone tried this yet? Are their overclocked settings still working after updating?

There is a pinned thread by svl7 which will give you all the information you need to accomplish this! Just successfully overclocked my new y500 GT 650m SLI by using modded BIOS and vBIOS for both cards.

Finally overclocked both my 650m GPUs on my new y500 to 1210/2500 and plays Planetside 2 very well! Thank you very much to everyone in this thread!

According to this, I should then be able to at least go above 925 on my main 650m correct? That however is not the case. I have already modded the 2.02 BIOS w/ svl7's pinned thread.

I upgraded to the modded version of v2.02 BIOS but haven't yet touched the BIOS of my GPUs.. Will I have to modify the BIOS of each GPU to ensure I get the clocks I want? I would really rather not mod my BIOS of each card compared to being able to change the clocks on-demand through software.. do I have other options or is BIOS the only way to max out clock speeds?

I'll be upgrading to the v2.02 unlocked BIOS later today, hopefully that works!

How are you getting past 925 core clock? My memory clock is all the way up to 2500 but I am unable to go beyond 925 on my core.. Any help would be appreciated.

Sad but unfortunately even changing the power management settings will not change this. The only negative part about this laptop is by far battery life..

I'm definitely excited for Blue. As long as we can get out of this Metro start for good on workstations, it will get far more love from home and business users alike!

Out of curiosity.. what settings are you running in PS2? That is the main game, besides SWTOR that I am trying to play on my new Y500. Also, does anyone know why my GPU core clock speeds are locked and cannot exceed 925? I am using the method found over on notebookreview.com (Y500 GT650M Overclock - Page 15) post #157 and everything works besides the problem mentioned above. Is this a BIOS issue and I need to flash it to get the speeds I am looking for? The memory overclock is fine at 2500 without issue but the core is locked in still.. Any help would be appreciated!

I wanted to do a fresh install on my new y500 as soon as I unboxed it but now it has been nothing but a pain, the only thing that has worked to get the cache to work correctly was ExpressCache, doing the eccmd.exe -info shows that it is working however, just wish there was a GUI for me to view and see.

Does flashing to the unlocked version of Bios enable RAID to be selected as an option?
