  1. Just an update for new titan owners... (this is actually my third Titan.) You will need to use this version of NVFLASH in order to flash your vbios. - nvflash - 5.141.0.1 As a side note, I was unable to get 80.10.3E.00.01_-_GTX_Titan_'OC_edition'_rev04_Downsampling_Version to run stable with 1 new Titan I frequently experienced hard OS crashes where I would see a full GREEN screen and then a full BLACK screen within 10 minutes of use. Even when I would just be surfing the web and experience a hard OS crash. But, I must say that if this bios is to reach stability! HOLY S@#$ it will be amazing! Downsampling is great without the need of EDID hacks! never have been able to reach 3840x3160@60hz with ease! I would like to direct everyone to a recent change in STEAM! - http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/10858676080 It looks like STEAM has made 4k a native resolution option for 1080p users. I have yet to see the option for 2880p for 1440p users though
  2. Just like that... I purchased lg 27ea83-d. In the store it was obviously the best monitor on display. Whether or not I keep it depends on its downsampling abilities. Can anyone suggest some good timings for downsampling to reach 5120x2880? I have to say though. this monitor is by far the highest quality display I've seen! The SRBG is spot on! I worked the price down to $850.
  3. Hi all About to try out the new downsample version bios. Can any tell me what is the difference between (ACX) and non ACX ?
  4. I found the lg 27ea83-d at frys electronics locally here. I think I'll go check it out and see if it's worth the extra cash tomorrow. I appreciate all the information Brian. You.ve been extremely helpful.
  5. here is my blog and Flickr photostream as an example of what I'm working with for downsampling and ENB. Flickr: far327's Photostream far off mods | A site dedicated to modding Skyrim thanks for the suggestions Brian.
  6. Hi Brian I'm looking for great color accuracy. White whites, deep black levels. I'm not a photoshop editor or anything, but my main hobby is creating ENB configurations and doing screenarchery with downsampling. So ideally, an IPS display or quality equivalent that can really downsample well. Price point is $700 or below for me at the moment. I wasn't crazy about the Dell U3011 because I think it's a bit dated. Display Port v1.0 I believe. My current Dell has Adobe Color Gamut settings in the OSD. I've found that I really enjoy working with SRGB and Adobe RGB. I also have a 47inch LG TV (LM7600) that surprisingly has great color accuracy and deep blacks. Its an IPS panel, but I prefer a tighter DPI found in a smaller display. Especially for downsampling. Ideally, I'd like the look of the LG IPS panels. However, Adobe RGB / SRGB coverage is also something I would like like as well. Not sure if LG has monitors with Adobe RGB coverage or not...
  7. Hi all I've been using my Dell U2410 to hit 3840x2160 for a while now. I'm hoping to use svl7's latest downsample bios for Titan to reach 5120x3200 or 5120x2880. I've been looking at these two monitors currently... Asus PB278Q 27" - ASUS PB Series PB278Q 27" 5ms (GTG) WQHD HDMI Widescreen LED Monitor 300 cd/m2 80,000,000:1 Built-in Speakers - Newegg.com Dell U3011 30" - Dell UltraSharp U3011 30" Black 7ms IPS-Panel Height, Swivel Adjustable Widescreen LCD Monitor 370 cd/m2 DC 100,000:1 (1000:1) - Newegg.com The dell u3011 30" I can get for $700 which sounds like a pretty good price for that monitor. Open to any and all suggestions. Thanks
  8. HI all I'm pretty new here, but found out about the downsample bios from the article over at pcgameshardware.de - Nvidia Geforce GTX Titan: "Mega"-Downsampling mit 5.120 x 3.200 und 60 Hz per BIOS-Mod Really interested in testing it out as I currently downsample at 3840x2160@58hz. Unfortunately I'm unable to download due to some restriction from my account being new. What do I need to do in order to have access to the download? EDIT - nevermind, i saw the PM in my inbox about 5 posts...
  9. I would just like to stop by to say THANK YOU!! Your vbios looks to have resolved my driver crashing in Skyrim!!! I have 2 Titans in SLi and have been painfully waiting for a fix for the past 2 months or so. I plan to donate after extensive testing tomorrow. Thanks again so much for taking the time to create this vbios! -far327
