  1. i am having issues updating my previous unlocked bios to the one that allows the adjustment of vbios voltages. I have tried to return to stock, but the updater utility says that there is a version mismatch. If i do it through FPT.exe I am prompted to a warning about the file being bigger than the writable area (so i am too afraid to do that). And if I try to flash a custom bios pulled off of this website I get error messages saying that the BIOS is locked and cannot be flashed.(something about regions). If i could just go back to stock and start over with the backup dump and patching that would be perfect, but since there is a 3MB discrepency in the sizes i'm afraid to brick my laptop
  2. I'm so sorry to ask this here but... I have my ultrabay 650m flashed and it is reporting the 1.1v But, i cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to flash the main GPU. I have an older whitelist flash from SLV7 but it doesn't let me change the voltages. Its v2.02 but it won't take the flash or anything. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Do i just use nvlash on the main gpu as well?
  3. Just did this today with a Crucial M4 256 msata. Like previous posters said you have to put the boot option to legacy or you get blue screens (trust me i know). this sucker is so much faster now. Took me an hour to set everything back up to normal. Kept the old hdd unformatted and pull my files and transferred my steam folder afterwards, worked like a charm. Now all my games and big lesser used programs go on 1tb and os and office go on msata. I have only used less than 40GB so far and it is a WORLD of difference in speed.
  4. I tried to force myself to use Windows 8 when i got mine......needless to say that 3 days later i have 7 on there. Little side note - Just put in a crucial 256gb msata ssd in this sucker today and use my 1tb to store lesser used programs and games and this is like a whole new beast, blows my i5 desktop out of the water as far as responsiveness except for the 650m sli vs 660ti can't quite hang there. But for $200 upgrade well worth it imo.
  5. well the 320 beta driver was made especially for us according to nvidia. There was a problem with SLI/Fullscreen/Vsync/SSAO etc that was supposed to be resolved with the latest beta.
  6. There is a tiny little lock tab under the battery bay that you have to unlock before you use the little slider and pull it out....took me a minute to find it as well.
  7. What is the purpose of flashing the ultrabay 650m? I noticed it runs a lot cooler that the other side of the laptop.....does it run a lower clock speed and are there any physical differences between the two cards?
