  1. I noticed the first post is edited saying to get the newer vbios. I'm a bit confused with all the choices. Is this the equivalent and newer vbios the "Clevo 680m - 80.04.33.00.10_'OCedition'_revised_01 - OV 1025v.zip" on svl7's bios thread?
  2. I have to send my Sager NP9150 off for warranty support. I currently have the most recent bios mod. I have searched and most people agree that you can revert to stock bios with no problem. There are a few conflicting reports, so I just wanted to verify a few things before I flashed: 1) Prema bios most likely doesn't invalidate my warranty with Sager, but just in case I should revert to stock bios? 2) I download the "P150EM BIOS 17 EC11" bios from Prema's site and flash like I would for Prema's bios mod?
  3. I successfully flashed Clevo 680m - 80.04.33.00.10_'OCedition'_revised_01 - OV 1025v. I am in the process of benchmarking. I have only used 3DMark. Here are my results: Stock Ice Storm: 83185 Cloud Gate: 15478 Fire Strike: 3796 Clevo 680m - 80.04.33.00.10_'OCedition'_revised_01 - OV 1025v (NOT OC'ed yet) Ice Storm: 72757 Cloud Gate: 15496 Fire Strike: 3941 It imagine the few points of difference from the stock bios will be resolved once I start OC'ing. Do you have any other programs you'd recommend? I've seen so many of them that I don't really know which ones I should use. I also have a few more questions related to setting the OC. 1) Should I only worrying about OC'ing "Performance Level [0] - (P8)?" I assume this is my high load profile. Is there any reason I would want to OC the other levels? Also, to confirm, I should only adjust in 13MHz at a time? 2) Is there an increment at which I should adjust my memory clock speed? Right now it's set to the stock 324MHz, but it can go all the way to 4000MHz. This seems like a wide range and I don't want to be adjusting in too small of an increment. 3) Is there a relationship between GPU clock and Memory Clock? For instance, if I OC my GPU clock to X MHz, should I adjust my Memory Clock to something comparable or can I just vary both independently until I find a stable configuration? 4) Is there a base OC recommendation for the Clevo 680m - 80.04.33.00.10_'OCedition'_revised_01 - OV 1025v vbios? I know it'll vary from per machine, but is there a baseline that should be safe on most cards? From what I understand, the 680m is severely underclocked, so I don't want to waste time increasing by tiny increments when the real threshold is significantly higher than stock.
  4. I have never OC'ed before as I've always had a laptop that was incapable to do so. I am fairly seasoned in other types of mods, but I don't want to mess this one up! I have read through countless numbers of posts and lots of warnings about flashing over my 680m. I think I'm safe to flash the latest MSI and Clevo 680m varieties, but I wanted to verify before I do so. Here are my applicable system specs: Sager NP9150 MoBo: CLEVO P15xEMx BIOS: 1.02.17 PM v1.0.4 Here are my questions: 1) Can I flash any vbios for the 680m (4GB)? If so, is it recommended to try out the different vbios until I find one that works best with my hardware? 2) Once the vbios is flashed, I understand I use NVIDIA Inspector or MSI Afterburn to incrementally increase the clocks to a satisfactory and stable level. Is that correct? Sorry if this post is remedial! Thanks for any help.
