still have my M14x R1 as well... just beat skyrim on it, and play a bit of GW2 on it. It hangs in there, but doesnt do full quality in most newer games. it is built like a tank. Sent from my GT-P7310 using Tapatalk 4 -
I didnt notice any issues on my seagate (w/ jumper installed), but I did have quite a few hangs on boot (windows 7) and just general performance issues without the jumper. Sent from my GT-P7310 using Tapatalk HD

As an R1 owner, I would not buy an R1 right now. It's getting a bit long in the tooth. If I did not have the R1, I would be looking at getting an R2/R3 depending if I could wait for the impending release or not. As I currently have an R1, I cannot justify upgrading to an R2 right now, although, I would love having an msata slot... ><
