  1. Unpack the .rar and use the .nip file in Nvidia Inspector -> Import profile. This is a very good sli config for Rise of Tob Raider I'm sending the mod for 361.75 drivers(win 8.1 PEG) for who is interested... nv_dispi.rar
  2. Is this "Full_Profiles_7_v353.00.txt" related for 361.75 drivers? Because the game Rise of Tomb Raider isn't working with SLI yet. Is there someone with nvidia inspector profiles for this game to work in SLI? What's happening with the all 361.xx drivers?? I modded myself the 361.75 nvidia drivers but since 361.xx version launched, it seems impossible to install on a M18X-R2... first it reboots before video driver is complete and then refuses to install any component in the driver. I'm using the same SLI config(nv inspector) of 2013 Tomb Raider on Rise of Tomb Raider... now the SLI kinda works but only using 64% of each gpu, not gaining any more than 5 fps comparing to one gpu using 99% usage. ps: using 353.00 drivers Just found an excellent sli profile for Rise of Tomb Raider, now it works all gpus really well. I'm playing at 60fps at 2560x1080p at maximum config on my M18X-R2 ROTTR[possible-SLI-Variant].zip
  3. In M18X-R2 with 980M SLI there some things not fixed yet by vBIOS like the gpu throttling or worse, the power throttling(gpu in low power state mode), and a issue with the second gpu fan not responding right in some systems with 980M sli installed(I'm using Hwinfo64 to help that). In my case with 359.00 drivers there's some occasional throttling like 494/506Mhz GPU core and goes back 1127Mhz again, in 353.00 drivers it works ok with full core gpu speed but sometimes the system for some reason decides to enter in low power throttling mode and the only way to solve that is to reset the machine to get full speed again.
  4. @haXBOXpro to get SLI in Fallout just enable AFR 2 in Nvidia control panel for fallout4.exe. Humm could it be Fox's Nvidia 345.20 drivers?
  5. Interesting, I disabled the SLI to see if my scores are consistent with yours and indeed is(stock gpu clocks):
  6. Yes, it seems this driver is really throttle proof... two days gaming testing with Prema 1.1.1 BIOS, the AW PEG MOD 353.00 don't flinch a inch with sustained 1127Mhz GPU clocks (boost clock), it's a really nice fix indeed. Now if just the newer drivers could be this good... Batman Arkhan Knight will be back in Steam Store in 10/28. But anyway thanks J95 for this perfect driver fix for 980M, I'll be using for my default video drivers from now on while testing new ones too.
  7. Second day testing 353.00 drivers and original Clevo VBIOS, no throttle yet, gaming with very graphic demanding games on ultra. I'm using Hwinfo64 on-screen info now instead of Msi Afterburner, GTX 980M SLI / P0 - P1 NV inspector switching core and Vram default values. I believe testing more 2 days I can give a true opinion about this driver. One thing I noticed is that sometimes GPU runs at normal core clock of 1038MHz insteady of 1127MHz boost in very demanding scenes, but thats not much a problem at all because almost gives no decrease in game FPS. Edit: Found that this behavior comes from Clevo BIOS, having nothing related about installed video drivers. Edit 2: Its confirmed, no throttling at all in the third day. a shame its coming for an old Nvidia driver
  8. Open NVCPL -> Manage 3D settings -> set all settings to default by clicking "Restore" -> Change resolution -> Refresh rate 60Hz -> Close NVCPL. That piece of the process make me remember that I'm currently using a Benq 120hz gamer monitor as a main screen for my M18X-R2... its that a problem? Two displays but actually only display 2 is on to sucessfull achieve 120hz frequency, but I can use the Alienware monitor for this test sake... Uninstall PrecisionX & MSI Afterburner (Keep RTSS) With just RTSS installed without MSI Afterburner, the on-screen statistics display don't work, I have to reinstall Afterburner afterward the new driver installation because I use it like a tool to measure gpu performance. Edit: Thanks for the info, I'm all set now
  9. It seems I was wrong about vBIOS differencies because Clevo vBIOS was acting exact the same as Prema's... I Redo the driver install again using DDU and uninstalling Precision X and now the games don't throttle anymore like the first day installation... it's like the Nvidia drivers has some kind of time expiration of working just fine and then another day it throttle again... Now I'll test the old 353.06 PEG MOD pushing it the harder I can get just to be sure about its qualities. - just wait... is there someone who lost a LCD panel using the latest nvidia drivers and PrecisionX in Windows 8.1? Maybe my EDID is already corrupted but its working ok for awhile, no 8 beeps error here.
  10. Flash your card again to default Clevo BIOS, uses J95's 353.09 throttling fix drivers, post results.
  11. Ok, in some games like Ryse and Sniper Elite III there's an in game 1.5x and 2x supersampling that simulates 3840x2160 resolution, DSR is off in Nvidia control panel and I'm not using any overclock at all in gpu avoiding to tax the PSU. I know that single GPU is fine but I'm trying to find the sweet spot for a SLI config I hope its possible but maybe thats not happening with a single 330w PSU. Btw I testing Prema bios 1.1.1... This is the result testing 3dMark Fire Strike performance... there's some throttle now and I'm using the default Fire Strike test not the extreme or advanced, that's not happening with default Clevo bios With Witcher 3 the throttle starts when gpu utilization goes beyond 95% all ultra, phyx on, 1920x1080 res, below 91% there's no throttle Ryse now throttles with default 1080p res without any supersampling in some crowdy scenes In less demanding games its all ok, no throttle at all - Sniper Elite III maxed out 1920x1080 in game option supersampling 1.5x I'll go back to Clevo BIOS to see if the results are sustained... Ps. what's the use for Asic values and why shall I uninstall MSI Afterburner ? I know for a fact that PrecisionX & MSI Afterburner may crippling screens in Windows 10 but I'm using Windows 8.1 right now without any problems.
  12. stock vbios 3D voltage & ASIC reading stock v84.04.22.00.12 (SLI) GPU 0 GPU1 much better asic points (tested playing Ryse at 2x supersampling) As you can see in GPU1 sensors, while I was playing Ryse there was some kind of throttle but this time a little different from before, if the gpu level utilization is below 95% there is no throttle at all but enabling supersampling 2x in this game and GPU utilization goes up to 99% level the throttle occurs and at some seconds and goes away and goes back again I think this driver is very good compared to others because almost no game pushes beyond 95% utilization anyway. Update: In The Witcher 3 the same occurs, you can play normally till there is too much is happening at screen at once (like a battle with many soldiers or beasts) and gpu utilization goes up to 96%, the throttle occurs again and goes back to normal when gpu is not taxed too much in game. Btw Witcher 3 with all on ultra and physx on 1920x1080 Later I'll post results with prema bios.
  13. Thanks J95, I will test it and a few days I will post the results with this new modded driver. Btw I'm using default 980M Clevo BIOS in M18X-R2, its working better for me than prema bios(tested both Clevo and AW modded vBios) but I know that is intended for Alienware 18 not for M18X.
  14. J95 what's the secret of Geforce 353.06 PEG MOD Throttling fix drivers? Why the results cannot be replicated in newer drivers like these 358.70 Dev drivers? I'm installing all new drivers with only the recommended directories and using the P0 - P1 switching procedure but even so some throttle occurs when 980M SLI reaches above 95% gpu utilization but that don't happens when using old 353.06 mod drivers.
  15. Hi all, just recently I manage to install a pair of GTX 980M in my M18X-R2 replacing my good old 780Ms and there is some stuff I need to know, mainly about Nvidia Inspector and how to set up correctly the clocks to prevent throttle and why can't I adjust the power target. Btw my cards are already flashed with Prema mod 1.1.1 and I`m using the latest nvidia drivers. Can someone help Thanks
  16. What do I need to flash prema mod in a Alienware M18X-R2? Is it the same way as TI mod like I need to disable the card before flashing it? Is there any tutorial how to flash the prema mod in Alienwares? Thanks in advance.
  17. J95, I'm in the same boat as the Mr. Fox, as I have dual 780M and all drivers beyond 345.20 are throttling even when the gpus aren't overclocked. Is there a way to adapt the 352.86 SLI profiles in the 345.20 drivers? Thanks in advance.
  18. I try to upgrade the old 5850M to a 7970M in my friend's M15X-R2 (i7-740QM)... it boots with no beeps but freezes with a white screen on windows... I really tried everything I could but to no use, only gives the same results. The card is using the sl7 7970M overdrive bios and I heard this model is incompatible with 7970M with 015.022 DELL bios, is it true? If its the case what can I do to fix this? Thanks in advance. Edit: Anyway I really dont know if its really the R2 or the first model of M15X and about the Vbios it was originally a 015.021 bios before flash.
  19. Open laptop, pull out GPU and remove battery(pull out battery cable), insert battery again before inserting GPU and pull back GPU again. See if it works.
  20. Mr. Fox you could make some 660W mod adapters and sell it on Ebay. I for sure would be one of your buyers =D
  21. When you reflash the bios it goes back to the default state. Change back in the BIOS the RAID mode for AHCI again and see if it works.
  22. An unlocked BIOS is required to install a 780M on a M18X-R1/R2 ?
  23. Is it worthy to update over a A10 Unlocked Bios? I only use a 3720QM level 3 overclock and some BUS enhancement.
  24. SvI7 can we expect an unlocked A12 bios in the future? Is it worth to upgrade an unlocked A10 bios to a A12 locked Bios if using a Windows 8.1? I'm only use my bios to overclock my 3720QM to 4.0Ghz with 101.2 Bus speed and level 3 overclock. Thanks in advance.
