  1. I have designed an adapter for the ultrabay slot to plug desktop graphic cards into a Y510p. The BIOS starts with "Unauthorized Slave vga ...". Need help for a new BIOS without PCIe check on Ultrabay.

  2. This mod/hack looks fantastic. Definitely want to try it - I'm doubtful I have the available cooling though to support over 4ghz. 3.9ghz on my 4800mq barely results in acceptable temps.

  3. No i disabled optimus sure its great for reduced power when you don't need it but the thing is nothing but a headache i run it in peg mode. iv had 4 laptops with optimus and they have all been nothing but a headache especialy with some older games. dedicated all the way for me. *Edit* just loaded the new drivers going to give em a good workout.

  4. Could be that 3dmark11 doesn't need that much bandwidth. Try Firestrike! Could also relate to different clock speeds of the cards (overclocks).

  7. they are fully sporting the 9xx series maxwell cards, however there are some issues regarding the secondary mxm gpu fan; however, prema has a fix for that, so 9 series should be fully sported out of the box with the a12 BIOS.

  9. Yes thats right. It is exactly the same model as the Alienware 18 from 2013/2014 only with new gpu's. Alienware released the new A12 BIOS for them to make an upgrade available for the older Alienware 18's (2013/14). If you flash the A12 BIOS the old Alienware 18's are able to handle the maxwell cards (970M/980M). Thats the only difference i noticed. Best regards!
