  1. This board comes with four PCIe 3.0 x16 dual width slots for graphic cards and additional three PCIe slots for other expansion cards such as RAID controllers and sound cards. I ran GTX Titan 4-way SLi on this board. R 1.1 is the last version of official BIOS supporting UEFI Video OpROM and I modified it to enable nVidia SLi support as official BIOS comes without nVidia SLi support. X9DRGQF2_C21.zip

  2. Yes just don't lose your original BIOS backup and flash that when you need to send your laptop in for repair. I don't know what video you're talking about, not that it matters. Just follow svl7's instructions in the OP. I don't know what benchmarks you want me to run but 2.4 GHz to 3.2 GHz is a 33% increase and it does make a noticeable difference in CPU-intensive games and even more so in synthetics.

I was just brave enough today to try the svl7 V-BIOS and the whole issue of flickering & white lines have all disappeared 100% and the notebook is working flawlessly in all games at 120hz, in SLI mode with no problem at all. Here is a list of games I have tried so far with the new Svl7 V-BIOS: Batman Arkham city Batman Arkham origins Assassin Creed III Just Cause 2 Sleeping Dogs 2 Tomb Raider 2013 Splintercell Blacklist Farcry 3 Crysis Metro 2033 & Metro Last light BTW I have tried the new Nvidia driver 331.58 before modding my V-BIOS and it didn't work, it may even made the flickering worse. I'm really gratefully to Svl7 for making this V-BIOS & the only possible solution to this problem. I think the reason why this V-BIOS solved the problem is the SAGER V-BIOS version is so bad it doesn't have the correct voltage/wattage to feed the 2 GPU cards (in 120Hz) for good performance, thats why its always flickering & making all games f###d up because of the bad V-BIOS version that doesn't supply both GPUs with enough power to work properly. Thanks again to Svl7, Prema & Bud Marley for creating this post to resolve this huge problem which affects all the SAGER NP-9380S Notebooks.

  4. A03 has certainly made my machine quietier. I have also updated the thermal interface material which helped too! As for the CPU throttling issue, it seems that the CPU is limited to 55 Amps by the BIOS, which seems to limit the TDP to about 38W. Using intel XTU (not the BIOS because this seems to brick the machine everytime I change the OC settings). I can increase the CPU current to whatever I like. 120A seems to be a good number and the heatsink is good for 70watts or so continuously. The peak TDP is set to 83W. I have also set all the multipliers to 40, meaning 4 GHz is the max turbo speed. This means the CPU turbos to about 3.6Ghz running a blended 8 thread stress test under latest build of prime 95. CPU temps stable about 85 Celsius. At the start of the test, the system peaks to 4GHz under 100% load at 83W until settling to its long term TDP of 67W. The XTU settings seem to auto load with Windows, until the system crashes and on next boot you go back to BIOS defaults. Agree, its not ideal, but it is a good work around for now.   5. X9DRGQF3_424.zip is the R 2.0 BIOS with nVidia SLi support. X9DRGQF3_903.zip is the R 3.0 BIOS with nVidia SLi support. X9DRGQF3_C05.zip is the R 3.0a BIOS with nVidia SLi support. X9DRGQF5_325.zip is the latest R 3.2 BIOS with nVidia SLi support. Sorry but the forum does not allow me to upload it as attachment anyone. Note that these BIOS versions disable UEFI Video OpROM support. Please always update IPMI firmware to the latest version from the official website before updating BIOS. Nvidia GTX 870m: 'OC edition' -> see above Nvidia GTX 860m (GK104 variant): 'OC edition' -> see above. Refer to the file name to know which version is suited for your system. NOTE: Only for the Kepler version of the 860m. Silly Nvidia started giving different GPUs the same name. ******************************** Nvidia 700m series: Nvidia GTX 780m: 'OC edition' -> unlocked overclocking limits, voltage adjustable, power target adjustable, optimized performance at higher clocks Can be used for all current 780m (Clevo, MSI and Dell). Same board as the Clevo card.
