  1. Here are some screenshots and a video I made that shows the performance capabilities of the nvidia 555mGT. I am tired of hearing that the 555 gets "raped" by the 460 and of course the 560. It is natural that the 560 should be faster but the 555 is actually close to equal to the 460 when overclocked regardless of the GDDR5. The video shows Just Cause 2, Metro 2033 and Battlefield Bad Company 2. Just cause and Metro are just screen shots of the benchmarks and the settings. You can clearly see that yes, the 555 does take a performance hit between 720 and 1080p. This also clearly shows that games ARE playable at 1080p settings. BFBC2 gameplay shows an average of over 60fps at 1080p on high settings (shadows low). The action is heavy so nobody can say "but he was staring at the ground" BS either. Is the nvidia 555 going to turn water into wine and part the sea, nope. Absolutely not. Is it going to provide gameplay at resolutions up to 1080p? Yes, it does that. The Nvidia 555mGT @720p - plays games at high/max settings @900p - plays games at medium/high settings @1080p - plays games at MEDIUM/high settings (link to the clip itself just in case... 2. Just Ordered a i7 920XM CPU should be with me soon as soon. I have more resource to spare i'll go for 6970M FCX or a single 6970M with a GTX 285M as dedicated PhysX ... I've not decided yet, any opinion on that would help... I know 6970 is a powerhungry beast so cfx would need more power i dont really want burn my systemboard. I may could try replace the power coils and the regulator IC's.

  5. Hehe I want. But anyways, I saw ps3 footage on Jimmy falon tonight or whatever his name is and it looks horrible. The devs said upfront you can't play it at 1080p and it won't go above thirty fps. They just pulled a major crysis

  8. I am sure it will work fine. Frostbite 2 will be heavily optimized since it is being made for pc then being ported to consoles. Instead of the other way around.

  9. As wbabt007 pointed out above the Recommended requirements are far surpassed by the m14x. BF:BC2 runs at about 35/40 - 60Fps at all high with vsync on and AA at 2x at 720p (1366x768) {i have teh 600p screen and it look NICE at 720p} BF3 runs on teh same engine as BF:BC2 (Frost Bite 2.0) so if anything at all high with vsync and AA im sure it will run at 30+ FPS and as for Mw3, Mw2 runs at a sexy 40Fps+ on all high with AA and vsync. so Mw3 should as well trust me you( and I, as well) will have Zero issues with these games.

  10. Hi Rich, although there is no official Minimum Req specs yet here are some tentative ones . Battlefield 3 MW3 Minimum System Requirements Processor: Dual Core Memory: 2 GB Hard Drive: 15 GB for Digital Version, 10 GB for Disc Version Video Memory: 512 MB Sound Card: DirectX Compatible DirectX: 10 Keyboard and Mouse DVD Rom Drive Recommended System Requirements Processor: Quadcore Processor Memory: 4 GB Hard Drive: 15 GB for Digital Version, 10 GB for Disc Version Video Memory: 1024 MB Sound Card: DirectX Compatible DirectX: 11 Keyboard and Mouse DVD Rom Drive I honestly think that the machine you have in mind will be more than enough to play those titles. If something see if you can add more RAM, RAM is always good, RAM is your friend.
