eGPU on FireStorm Viewer on a mac mini slowness

Hello,

 

I'm new to this forum and the whole eGPU world. I bought a Bizon Box with a Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 2GB. I'm using it for Second Life because it runs really hot on my laptop which is a mbp with intel iris pro. when i launch FireStorm Viewer it logs in ok but runs worse than the macbook pro.

I am running a 5400 RPM Sata Drive, but i don't think it would cause it to run like that.

 

i did try it in windows and got better response, but the fact is i use mac for a reason.

Are you using an external monitor?

Yes i am, and i don't have another monitor hooked up to it directly.
