clone my Win 7 Boot drive

Recommended Posts

Hello team,

I am trying to clone my Win 7 Boot drive onto a new SSHD that I bought, I was able to do it using Lazesoft, the issue I am having is with the drive letters, the original windows was in C: and the copied one on Drive H:, I am a total noob at this and I do not know what to do to make the drive H the bootable drive.

Any advice will be appreciate it.

You can use a software "Dism++“ which is made by Chinese to make an image file of your system disk. Remember to tick ”可启动“(Bootable).

No matter you want to clone the entire Windows system disk, or only clone the Windows 7 boot partition (usually C drive) to another drive, you can make use of AOMEI software, which is able to clone hard disk or migrate only OS drive to SSD, and ensures you can boot from the cloned SSD after clone.

Many ways to clone a bot drive, some used software for cloning and also some  people  performing a sector by sector clone.

To be specific, you move operating system files, boot files, all files and installed programs on C drive to another partition of a different disk. Then, you can boot into the same Windows 7 operating system from the target hard disk, with better experience or shorter boot up time usually.  And checkout to know more about advantage of credit card generator
