If you got a message saying nvidia driver stop working, then just increase a little bit voltage in NVIDIA Inspector.

Just stay away from the FUBAR 361 driver, any other driver will work fine...

Dump your vBIOS with GPU-Z or NVFLASH and PM me. Will add this version during the next update wave...

The 751JT has only a 3GB GTX970M.

Only the Desktop GTX970 have 4GB (aka 3.5GB)

There are 3GB and 6GB GTX970M, but no 4GB. You have to check in GPU-Z what version you got there...if its 3GB use the vBIOS already in the OP.

If its 6GB send me the vBIOS (clicks next to the vBIOS version in GPU-Z to safe it) and wait for the next update wave...

I fiddled around with modding my laptops BIOS to unlock XMP profiles and hopefully seeing if optimus could be disabled. After flashing my modded bios and trying it out, I noticed that my keyboards backlight no longer turns on. I was unaware it requires an official BIOS to function. They backlights wont turn on unless ASUS ATK package is installed but now it seems it also needs an official BIOS?

The modded ROM and tool I used if anyone has any experience with this and doesn't mind telling me what to enable/disable, or anything else i can do to re-enable them

Hello, I've got a Dell Precision M4700 with a 3940xm. I've read that in this particular CPU and laptop model, the bios is locked because the stock settings are considered an overclock. As-is, the core temps on the CPU do reach up to 90-100. They seem to spike up and down a bit when benchmarked with Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility, but they certainly do reach over 90C. Is there no way to unlock this bios (version a18, though a19 is released - I haven't updated yet, should I?) and even if there were, would my only option be a heatsink mod on top of that?

edit: I've mistakenly posted this under Desktop & General Hardware, perhaps a mod could move or delete the thread? Apologies!
