sdhowar1
Hey all,Not sure if this is the right place to post, but here goes...After reading NUMEROUS posts on various forums about how easy it is to to modify the INF files on the latest drivers so that a given driver works for your PC's make and model, I decided to take the plunge and give it a go. You see, the GTX 780M does not natively come with the Alienware M18xr1. I think that was the start of my problems. I did do enough research to make sure that the power needs as well as the form factor of the MXM 3.0 card worked. I didn't bother to think about drivers. So now that it has been installed since last Thursday, i can tell you that I can no longer switch back to my intel integrated driver, leaving me only with the lovely 'standard VGA Graphics Adapter'. To which I have access to 14MB of Graphics memory. Needless to say, capabilities are limited. When i press Fn+F7, it should switch back to integrated, but it does not. I have tried modifying DELL Geforce graphics drivers to work and I've tried the Geforce Drivers direct from Nvidia. They end up with the following error "The driver selected for this device does not support this version of windows."I am using Windows 7 Home Edition. Let me know what else I can do. I came to this website to get the A05 Unlocked BIOS file, in the hopes I could re-enable my integrated in the mean time. My BIOS currently says the integrated is disabled. Thanks,Sean
