Y510p and Intel driver with windows 10

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have issues with Intel driver after win 10 upgrade.

I cannot install the last driver I think, because the last version start with 15.xxxx but the installation process keep to maintain the 10.xxxx

I don't know why but now the 10.xxx version doesn't work well. How can I install the last driver? Thanks

Hopefully soon. I installed win10 64bit and rolled back to win8.1, cus it has alot of problems and most of them are related to the Intel drivers.

@DougQuaid

Dose windows 10 show correctly how much minutes needed for the battery to get fully charged?

For me it doesn't, but I haven't tried with Intel drivers yet because I rolled back to Win8.1

I have one single issue, I have turn off the laptop when the screen is in inactivity, but is a shame that Lenovo doesn't support y510p for win 10, is not so old...

jam97 I have this same problem in win10... I also had this same problem in win8. And win8.1. So I don't think the OS can be blamed for it.

Fear not, however. If this really really bothers you, close the laptop most of the way (but not enough to make it go to sleep) and take out the battery. Wait a few seconds, and put it back in. After a minute or two, the battery meter will work properly again. But, it will also bug out again eventually.

Actually I haven't any battery problems with Win8.1.

I upgraded to Win 10 and haven't had much issue till lately, (wifi mainly) but it had been freezing alot and sometimes the start button doesn't work or it will freeze on the shutdown. I rolled back to Windows 8 and its alot better but its a hassle
