STANirvanaIND
The Y400 uses a single channel LVDS cable meaning the maximum resolution is 1366x768 @ 60 Hz. You can try replacing the screen but it'll have grey lines and other odd behavior at power on (essentially it doesn't work). You can try finding a compatible dual-channel LVDS cable (maybe the one from the Y410, although I'm not sure) and then from there any compatible display panel should work (maybe the Y410's, I've heard some of the T series displays should be compatible as well). Make sure the mounting points are also the same as the original display.I'll say this though, I haven't heard of anyone having success doing it yet... calsurferpunk
I've just plugged into a larger 27" monitor a have laying around, then plugged in a usb keyboard and mouse so that it feels like a desktop anyhow. It's probably not too wise to start trying to open of the display, and not really worth it since a higher resolution on such a small screen probably won't be very visible to the human eye.
