losing respect for reddit - they insist I roll back bios there? wtf?

Recommended Posts

I thought maybe someone over there would be able to help me figure out why my pc has to have such lower clocks than others of the same model -- I figure its just because each processor is different, but maybe, just maybe, its the stock driver.

but either way, over there, they keep insisting the problem is the vbios I got here, which works perfectly as long as I dont further increase the clocks, and can even choose to dial down the clocks now that the lock is removed. there is literally NOTHING wrong with the asus g75vw mod bios here, yet a few people on reddit are insisting it is saying "do I want my problem solved or not" when I say I dont want to roll back the bios.

while I know a few people dont represent a whole site, and I know internet banter is just that - nonsense - I also know the bios themselves are unrelated to any issues I have (other than letting me overclock to begin with)

I just dont get it -- i continually tell them all its fine as long as I dont push harder on the card, but they keep telling me to roll back anyway. its like Im talking to a wall over there.

Are you using the VBIOS 222 I have the same G75VW I'm running on V223 overclocked version now used to have it on V222

Check http://forum.techinferno.com/asus-gaming-notebook-forum/2538-%5Bg75vw%5D-modified-bios-vbios-higher-overclocking.html for that and plus do you have the i7-3610qm or i7-3630qm

Can you explain specifically where you are having the issue in what tab you can try clocking the turbo boost to 105 mhz!
