RT-XD
Sorry to bump this, but I've just followed those instructions - got it working. But now I've got the throttling issues.
Solo wing
Sorry to bump this, but I've just followed those instructions - got it working. But now I've got the throttling issues. What version did you install? I also have an M17x R4 (120Hz, 3D) with 980M. I tried 353.17 and it's throttling like crazy! Rolled back to 352.84 and everything is fine Update***: after installing windows 10 preview build 10166, I did a clean install of Nvidia 353.17 and it's working better than 352.84 Faiz
Omenien
I also have an M17x R4 but I have an issue where my computer doesn't seem to be using the 980m at all. I've installed modified drivers provided by Eurocom (I believe they're 344.09) but all of my games are getting extremely low FPS and the GPU usage never goes above ~3%. What should I try? Solo wing
Let me guess, Optimus?I think you might be able to disable the iGPU from the Bios and force it to use Dedicated. I remember reading that you have to install an unlocked BIOS to change these settings.Plenty of threads about this matter:http://forum.techinferno.com/alienware/8113-going-test-clevo-980m-alienware-m17x-r4-m18x-r2-aw17.htmlI'd recommend reading as much as you can.
