sbi85
The size of the Copperplate from the GTX570M is 30mm x 20mm,when i remember right the Die Size from the GTX 970M/GTX 980M is 21mm x 21mm.Of course you can use small Stripes of Thermal Pads at the Edge.but this is not really the best Solution. The better Choise ist the Heatsink from the GTX 460M/GTX 560M because you can get this cheap and the Copperplate is much more bigger.Red : RemoveGreen: Fill with Thermall Pads Blue : Thermal PasteRed : RemoveGreen : Fill up with Thermal PadsBlue : ThermalpasteThe yellow markered Spots in the other Picture is only a Information that the Copperplate is smaller. If you make all right this Heatsink is also OKI've managed to buy a GTX 780 heatsink. As on the picture above also, it has a track that goes over to the CPU (I believe). Screenshot by Lightshot. How do you remove that? it is obviously not needed. Anyone has ideas? Bloetschkopf
Please don`t remove the CPU Bridge, this is for a better thermal Circuit. The Heatsink with the CPU Bridge is the better Heatsink,You only must modify it like the Picture in the right Top Corner.
