rslatara
Hi guy's I sold my m15x which I had a dell gtx770m working happily with a inf mod and svl7's unlocked bios.I have now got myself a nice clean GT780DX with a 570m. Will the 770m fit correctly and work?
iTzZent
The Dell GTX770M is not compatible with the MSI GT780DX. Only the Clevo (with mod inf) and the MSI (without any modification) will be work. You need als another Heatsink.

Exper1mental
I have yet to hear of anyone successfully using a Dell GPU in anything other than a Dell/Alienware laptop. In other words, no this'll not work. You need a Clevo or MSI GPU to install with.

Sorry to intrude a couple months later in this thread, but ItzZent will that mean that this card New Nvidia GeForce GTX 770M 3GB DDR5 MXM 3.0 Type B for Alienware Clevo I bought on ebay, will not wotk with my MSI GT 780? Motherboard MS-1761. I currently have a gtx 560m installed.
iTzZent
thats right, the Clevo and the MSI Version will be work with the MS-1761/MS-16F2. Try to flash the MSI vBIOS (maybe in another device) https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/141748/MSI.GTX770M.3072.130324.rom
Hyrdens
Sounds good, I will try flashing the bios with the version you provided! :-) thx! Have you any knowledge about the GT 780 and whether I need a modded heatsink? The chips on the GTX 770m are slithtly different placed than on my GTX 560m, meaning that it doesn't fit 100% on. I can fit the screws from the heatsink into the motherboard though, when the new card is installed.
Bloetschkopf
The Heatsink from the GTX 560M must be modified like the Picture.
