rjdelew
Out of all the models that exist, which one is the most futureproof? My Sager/clevo 170EM turned out to be wanting and I haven't heard of any manufacture that keeps there bios current. The new Skylark cpu is coming out in July with new motherboard requirement. I am not sure if one was to buy a current laptop, it will be upgradeable next year.
sasuke256
skylake if you buy now you wont be able to upgrade.. plus you got to find a laptop with a socketed CPU which is becoming more and more rare..
Danjelll
Alienware is a Manufacturer that allows you to change some hardware in the Notebook. GPU and CPU are socked on Motherboard. I suppose that the coming Alienware Notebooks are unable to Upgrade :-(Greets Daniel
deadsmiley
The P170EM can now take 900M series cards, but not the 800M series. Or are you needing a faster CPU?
