Paolo11
Hello folks:Do you think the 780M sli will max out 1080p 60fps games like Arkham Knight, GTA V, or Witcher 3 ?
jeremylt
If you'll use 1080p. Just because GTX 8xx series and 9xx series have released 7xx doesn't become outdated graphics card, I mean 780m is still a very good card, and you have sli config, so I'm pretty sure you'll be fine. Magister Mundi
Yes. Absolutely. I can run most modern games with my two SLI'd GTX 660s at medium-high to high settings, and sometimes even high-ultra. An SLI'd 780 - even a 780M - should be able to go the extra mile my desktop cards can't. Though that said, a full 60 FPS on, say, GTA V given their history of terrible optimization?... maybe not. Paolo11
I just want to 1080p 60 FPS Metal Gear Solid V, Arkham Knight or maybe GTA V.
TheseusSapphire
Metal Gear Solid V? Well that we have to wait, since it's no doubt a next-gen game. Same for GTA V. It depends on how good/bad the port is. If it is optimized then we can start talking about how your GTX780M SLI handles the games. Regardless, I think it would run just fine. BassDrive
I think a single 780 will perform good. In SLI u dont event need to worry about the new games . Just my opinion.
gmanhunt
I have a 780M and it's starting to show its age. I can't get a constant 60fps for Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition on max. I'd guess that you would fare better with an SLI 780M, but anything past 2015 probably won't go well for you.
Jimma
Nvidia usually comes out with new performance boosting gpu drivers after new releases of games. I'd expect your card to be powerful in comparison for quite some time; just keep an eye out for driver updates. I like to update to the betas. Paolo11
How many fps do you guys get for Assassins Creed Unity on dual 780m sli?
rahvin
Haha; having just upgraded to a 780m, I can only hope that it continues to hold it's own; as Jimma mentioned, the very latest round of driver updates seems to have produced performance gains so I'm optimistic. Zero989
I think so. TW3 should be the most demanding of all those titles and a beta tester posted at another forum running an overclocked R9 290 @ 1440P. He said the game ran 40fps+ with mostly high settings. The game is nVIDIA optimized so it makes no sense for it not to run better. GTA IV is also nVIDIA optimized I believe, but don't quote me on that. Although nVIDIA did leak the game a long time ago .
