Is the new 970M not compatible with old GT70 heatsinks and from other partners? As you can see in this video you can upgrade the heatsink in a gt72 for the 970M/980M but...... do you think msi will make new heatsinks for other computers? I don't think so.....

Yes, MSI use an other Heatsink for the GTX9**M Series, because the MXM Board has another Layout.

Here you see the difference between the two cards (GTX870M vs GTX970M). Anything above the RAM chips, located at other positions.

MSI sells in Canada as just the GT60 2QD and the GT70 2QD with a GTX970M 3GB. When and where you can obtain the heatsink, I do not know.

Those pictures look suspiciously like my photos! :nevreness:

I hope you guys do the mod soon. I want others to join in on the GT60/70 upgrade party! Next stop we need to get svl7 to unlock those maxwell 970/980m vBios! This +135Mhz limit is killing me. I know this card has some ridiculous potential.
