A new OS X 10.9.5 update has just been released. If you are going to update to the latest version, you will loose compatibility with the old OS X NVIDIA web driver. Do the following to re-enable your driver with the new update and new NVDIA web driver.

1. Update to 10.9.5 2. Download and install NVIDIA Cuda 6.5.18 here NVIDIA DRIVERS 6.5.18 3. Download and install NVIDIA WebDriver 334.01.03f01.pkg here http://us.download.nvidia.com/Mac/Qu...4.01.03f01.pkg 4. This will re-start your OS. Make sure you select the NVDIA web driver from the NVDIA Driver Manager in the Systems Preferences. 5. Modify the KEXT files

  • /System/Library/Extensions/NVDAStartup.kext
  • /System/Library/Extensions/IONDRVSupport.kext
  • /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDAController.kext
and issue the following sudo kextcache -system-caches

6. Restart your OS. Confirm if everything is working. 7. Shutdown and re-connect your eGPU setup.
