This does NOT mean that your current models will be out-phased or replaced: All your PxxxSM-A already received official GTX980M & GTX970M support and the cards also "work" on the older SM models. (Work on the Prema Mod BIOS with additional feature set is underway.) Erik9519
Well slim laptops with those video cards are coming for sure just like they did with gtx 870(not the 880m though). An example is the XMG C504 15.6" which is thick only 20.9mm aswell as the razer blade 14" with just 17.8mm(even though that is overpriced in my opinion). Both are not clevo though... But since others are doing it clevo might aswell follow.
LightningPL
Great news over P6500 in slim 15" notebook is very impressive score. we will see what about temperatures. Prema do you have already any photos of new P-series notebooks ? Can you share it?

Tonrac
With the help of prema, there is a high probability that the 980m will become compatible because P1xxSM and P1xxSM-A are almost the same model ... so be kind with him and buy him a beer
P370SM3
Imagine a world where we would have a slimmer 17" P-Series model with GTX980M and an even slimmer 15" with GTX970M...Say hello to the little brother P650SE: Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7,Notebook P650SE Generic VGA video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7,Notebook P650SE This does not mean that your current models will be out-phased or replaced: All your PxxxSM-A will receive official GTX980M & GTX970M support! widezu69
Do you have any idea if there are going to be new models with 980m SLi or are they just going to update the P370SM-A and P377SM-A series?Edit: Also do you know when separate cards will become available? Guest
Do you have any idea if there are going to be new models with 980m SLi or are they just going to update the P370SM-A and P377SM-A series?Edit: Also do you know when separate cards will become available? They are going to update the already existing models with the new cards and just add the 2 new SLIM models to the P-Series line-up. None of those new models is SLI or a direct refresh of a current SM-A system...Clevo will update all SM-A with official GTX980M & GTX970M support.Broadwell refresh (with socketed chips) will come out only next year. Clevo is expected to ship the first batch of GTX980M/GTX970M MXM cards at the end of October with pre-orders starting mid-month-ish, but I guess most will start taking our money the moment the NDA lifts. HTWingNut
I hope Clevo does a good job with the design on this P650SE. I love my W230SS, but so many times I want a larger screen. I also hear there's a P650SG, not sure the difference though. I don't care about super slimness, like Razer who sacrifice everything to make a laptop paper thin that it's so hot you can cook breakfast on it, but thin and light enough that it's easy to handle with one hand. I'd be happy if they had a similar design to W230SS, but in 15" just move the ports to the back, instead of the right side at the front. Looking forward to see what it looks like. Will this P650SE be MXM or soldered?

godfafa
@Prema,Thanks alot for the information about the new clevo models. What is the difference between p650se and sg? (15' and 17' maybe?)And all the new models are mux-less right? i.e. User wont be able to choose not to use optimus, am I right?
HTWingNut
I am sure it will be Optimus and muxless. SE and SG as Prema said may be two different variations of the same model, with different aesthetic features.

Guest
A person from Korean Clevo-Reseller says p750zm is a 15'' notebook. The number "5" in 750 also implies 15'' to me too. Going by naming it sounds like a 15", Z97 Chipset, Desktop CPU, single MXM, DTR unit and being in regular Notebook shape would be far more interesting than AIO form IMHO. But I was told something else, that's why I wrote "AFAIK" as this model isn't really showing up on anything I have laid eyes on myself. EDIT: So THX for the additional info!
