Conker
I have a rather old pc has an intel core 2 quad processor and I want to revive buying him a video card, but not like that type of video card you remain good to that processor. previously had a MSI NVIDIA gt8500 hmm...What do you mean with "but not like that type of video card you remain good to that processor"? What about an AMD Radeon R7 260X, an AMD Radeon R9 270 or an AMD Radeon R9 270X? This system is for office work? Gaming? Can you provide some more information about your rig? sekilo004
Sorry, the translator was wrong, i mean "what Type of vídeo card can i buy for this cpu?"I dont use that pc so i want to use for gaming
Conker
I dont use that pc so i want to use for gaming okay...as mentioned above, can you give some more information about the other components of your rig? powersupply,...? If you're PC is working, can you please provide a HWinfo Summary screenshot Regardless of what games you'll play, I would recommend again to go with an AMD Radeon R7 260X, an AMD Radeon R9 270 or an AMD Radeon R9 270X or maybe the all new AMD Radeon R9 285, which will be released on September 2nd ;) Nvidia has some good solutions too, but AMD is far superior when it comes to price/performance ratio. arraygamer
How much is your budget? Video cards vary in price by a lot.
Meeptopia
I think the R7 265 the best bang for your buck.If your budget is higher, I would recommend buying a good processor such as the AMD FX-6300If you want to spend all your money on another video card, I would go with Conker and buy the R9 270X
awlmfgskar
I think the R9 260(X) is the best card for you. This card has enough power for most games (mid settigs) and the TDP is okay
jcagara08
probably that new R9 285, you won't regret it, be on the red team!
malacha
I think the R9 270X card is nice. In Poland its about 700 zł. That's about 190 euro
osea23
Saw an R9 280 go for $150~ on newegg right now, so that looks like a steal.
raycol
If you have money buy gtx 970. If no, buy a Amd r9 graphic card. I dont like amd for bad drivers but you can spend little money.
xander
i would personally avoid AMD as i am not a fan of their software at all. i have owned two AMD cards in my life time, and the second time was in hopes of better software support, but it is the same old experience. i would definitely go for a GTX 970 over an R9, just my two cents. Masterofstuff124
I recently got a 1440p monitor. my 550ti is struggling to do anything pretty on that monitor. so im thinking the r9 290 is the way to go. i hear it is better for 1440 than the 970. I can overclock it myself so the 290x seems like a waste. and at about $200usd the 290 should be a great buy for my desktop computer. intuxikated
i'd also get something like a r9 270X to go along with that, or a GTX 950 if you want to have something more power-efficient, but definitely not more powerful than that because your CPU will be bottlenecking it Edited April 7, 2016 by intuxikated
