3D Print Projects

This thread is meant ot share your 3D printing projects, knowledge, experiences,...:P

Here's my work :D I had to deal with a broken gear of a food processor :D My mom asked me for help, because it's an old one and searching for spare parts is useless.

Luckily I could use my experience with SolidWorks, I got from my Asus MarsII Waterblock project. This saved me a lot of time and Google is as always your friend :joyous: to find CAD gear tutorials. :D It's made by an Ultimaker 2.

Here's the result:

I ended up designing this for an Assassins creed obsessed friend on solidworks. The image above is a render of what should be the ideal product, but is had to redesign the cut-aways on the sides due to the walls being too thin for the 3D-printer.

I sent it to get printed at shapeways.com out of New York out of stainless steel, it should come any day now.

I designed this one for my GF, it came in already, gold coated stainless steel. The base of the triangle is 1.5 inches long and the thing cost me just under $20. This one arrived already but i don't have any pictures on hand. Everything came out fine, but the surface was a bit too grainy for my taste :/

I'm thinking about opening an online store on shapeways, see if there's any money to be made there with my designs.
