Y510p and Nvidia Powermizer, how to turn off on battery?

Hi!

New member here and lots of questions. Just bought an Y510p and been struggling with high temps so far. Crysis3 just melts the whole thing. :D

But, with battery, is there any way to do something for the very bad gpu-performance? Even a little? Of course full performance cant be done. The old powermizer tool doesnt work anymore.

I use a cooling pad when gaming, i would suggest doing that and plugging the laptop into the charger while gaming as well, having it plugged in will increase the GPU performance tremendously.

Also try going into power options and changing the performance options for "on-battery"

If you want to modify the settings for powermizer, you can use the tool at https://app.box.com/shared/v7jpoateoq which will add the registry settings for it. You can have it enabled for battery and off on ac or whatever you want. Why you'd want to play games on the batter is beyond me (my opinion) because the battery *might* last an hour at most? heh
